Dear Friends,
There are so many reasons to celebrate this Thanksgiving.
First of all, we embark on an exciting new chapter for America with President-Elect Barack Obama. And Michelle Obama has stated that one of her main interests as First Lady will be work/life balance. I couldn't be more thrilled.
Secondly, my dear friend and colleague, Margaret Miller has returned to the team of Balancing Your Life and Ellen Susman Enterprises. Together we are launching a book project that has taken more than four years to bring to fruition--Danger Pay: Memoir of a Photojournalist in the Middle East, 1984-1994. This moving memoir, written by my late sister Carol Spencer Mitchell, chronicles her life in the Middle East working for Newsweek Magazine.
As I visit various cities and states in 2009 to speak and promote Carol's book, I hope men and women everywhere will be inspired by the story of this courageous woman. Please check our calendar for a list of Danger Pay events in the coming months. I hope to see you there.
