Rebecca Mark-Jusbasche has held major leadership positions with one of the world's largest corporations.  She was chairman and CEO of Azurix from 1998 to 2000.  Prior to that time, she joined Enron Corp. in 1982, became executive vice president of Enron Power Corp. in 1986, chairman and CEO of Enron Development Corp. in 1991, chairman and CEO of Enron International in 1996 and vice chairman of Enron Corp. in 1998.  She was named to Fortune's "50 Most Powerful Women in American Business" in 1998 and 1999 and Independent Energy Executive of the Year in 1994.  She serves on a number of boards and is a member of the Young President's Organization.

She is a graduate of Baylor University and Harvard University.  She is married and has two children.

Lee H. Rosenthal has been a United States District Court Judge for the South District of Texas, Houston Division, since 1994.  Prior to that time, she was a partner in Baker & Botts, one of the nation's largest law firms.  She was selected as Trial Judge of the Year for 2000 by the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists.  She has been president of the Epilepsy Association of Houston/Gulf Coast and secretary of the national board of the Epilepsy Foundation of America.  She is a co-founder of the Gordon and Mary Cain Pediatric Neurology Research Foundation.

She holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Chicago.  She is married and has four daughters.

Carol Warley is a partner in the Houston office of KPMG.  She joined the firm in 1977.  She is responsible for personal financial planning for business owners, corporate executives, professionals and other high net worth individuals.  She is past president of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum, former board member of the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Public Accountants and the Planned Giving Council, vice chairman of Junior Achievement and chairman of the Texas Children's Hospital Planned Gift Advisory Council.  She was named among the top 250 financial advisors in the U.S. by Worth Magazine from 1996 to 2001.

She received her B.B.A. from the University of Houston.  She is married and has one child.

Dr. Yvonne Cormier holds board certification in Anesthesiology/Pain Management.  She holds a undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University, attended Brown University and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Yale University.  She received her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, where she also did her residency training and was chief resident in Anesthesiology.  In addition to her practice, she is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School Department of Pharmacology.  She is on the active staff at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Columbia Gramercy and Piney Point Surgery Center.  She has published 36 papers and eight book chapters.

Dr. Cormier is married and has three children.

Sarna Sunshine is a Licensed Master Social Worker, Advanced Clinical Practitioner.  She is a Board Certified Diplomate of the National Association of Social Workers and a Certified Group Therapist.  She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and certified in divorce mediation.  Founder of Briargrove Psychotherapy Associates, she maintains a private practice in individual, marital, family and group therapy.  She also is executive director of Children Cope, a non-profit organization which presents weekly court-mandated seminars to parents.  She is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the Houston Group Psychotherapy Association, the National Association of Social Workers and the Mental Health Association.

A graduate of the University of Houston, she is married and has three children.

Dr. Barbara D. Taylor is a graduate of Rice University.  She attended medical school and residency at Baylor College of Medicine.  She was a private practitioner of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Texas Medical Center for 12 years.  In 1995, while still practicing medicine, she began an executive Masters of Business Administration program designed for physicians.  When she completed her M.B.A., she pursued a law degree at the University of Houston Law Center.  She recently discontinued her practice of medicine and will graduate from law school in December 2001.  She plans to integrate all of her educational disciplines in an innovative manner in future endeavors.

She considers balance most important in remaining healthy and productive.

Pauline Edwards Higgins has been vice president and associate general counsel for J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. since 1997.  She was with Exxon Company, U.S.A. in various tax law and litigation positions from 1990 to 1996, except a two-year leave during which she served as chief of staff and counsel to U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.  She was with Bracewell & Patterson and Vinson & Elkins prior to joining Exxon.  She also clerked with the Supreme Court of Delaware.  Prior to becoming an attorney, she was chief financial officer for Benjamin Franklin Savings and an audit/tax manager with Coopers & Lybrand.

She holds a LL.M. from the University of Houston, a J.D. from Tulane School of Law and a B.S. from Louisiana State University.  She is licensed by the State Bar of Texas, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, the American Institute of Public Accountancy and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

She is married with two sons.

Jennifer Jacobs is a partner at Bracewell & Patterson and is section head of the School and Public Law Section.  She specializes in special education; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act; Americans with Disabilities Act; Student Discipline; Student Residency, Due Process for Medical Peer Review Proceedings, Family and Medical Leave Act and Sexual Harassment Claims.  She is affiliated with the Houston Young Lawyers Association, Texas Association of School Boards, Council of School Attorneys, National School Board Association, Council of School Attorneys and National Association of College and University Attorneys.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University with a B.A. and of Harvard Law School with a J.D., she is married and has two children.

  Chris Vasquez is vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.  She joined Memorial Hermann in 1992 as an Administrative Fellow.  She was appointed assistant vice president of Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in 1995.  She is president of The American College of Healthcare Executives-Greater Houston Chapter and the West University United Methodist Church Administrative Board.  She is a founding board member of Medical Bridges, Inc.  She received her masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Nanine Ewing is a licensed psychologist and licensed family and marriage therapist.  She presently is in private practice.  She has served as a consultant to Fairmount Clinic in Dallas and Albuquerque, to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, to the Texas Institute for Research and Rehabilitation and the Psychiatric Association of Houston.  She is a board member of the Group Psychotherapy Foundation and a council board member of The Fielding Institute.  She is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the American Psychological Association, the Houston Group Psychotherapy Association, the American Dance Therapy Association and the Southwest Group Psychotherapy Society.

Dr. Ewing holds an undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon, a M.A. in counseling psychology from St. Mary's College and a Ph.D. from The Fielding Institute.

  Debbie Fiorito is executive vice president and chief communications officer of Dynegy.  She oversees all external and internal communications for the company.  She previously was senior vice president of Public Affairs of Chase Bank of Texas.  She also held senior communications positions with Apache Corporation, Mitchell Energy & Development and Washington, D.C.-based public relations firms.  She serves on the boards of the March of Dimes, the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Contemporary Arts Museum, the Houston Image Group and the Society for the Performing Arts.  She chairs the Downtown Houston Association.

She and her husband have three children.

  Belinda Phelps is vice president of J.P. Morgan Private Bank.  She was vice president, Private Bank, Banking Services for Texas Commerce Bank/Chase Bank of Texas from 1991 to 2000, and she was vice president, commercial banking for Texas Commerce Bank from 1989-1991.  She is a board member of Chinquapin School, chaired the SEARCH Fall Campaign and served on the board of the American Heart Association North.

Belinda holds a B.B.A. in finance from Texas A&M University and a graduate degree from Southern Methodist University.

Nancy McGregor served as special counsel to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, as special assistant to the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and as special assistant to the General Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission. She also was with Steptoe and Johnson, a Washington, D.C. law firm. In Houston, she has served as chair and currently is on the board of Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, has served on the board of the Houston Food Bank, was co-founder of the Women's Guild of the Houston Area Women's Center, has chaired committees for St. John's School and currently is chair of Summerbridge Houston.
